Floors laid flat and tile set square
New floors and tile are laid by crews Adam has worked with for 5 to 10 years, and Adam handles repairs himself, so you always have one person to call. Every job starts with a flat, solid subfloor and the setting materials and underlayments the manufacturer approves, and it’s backed by a 2-year written workmanship warranty.
Flooring and tile installation
A floor is only as good as what’s under it. Most cracked tile, popping planks, and squeaks trace back to a subfloor that wasn’t flat or solid. So that’s what we fix first.
- Tile floors. Ceramic and porcelain, with layouts planned so cuts land where they look right, set with the mortar and underlayment the tile maker specifies.
- Tile showers and backsplashes. Waterproofed and set to spec. See bathroom remodeling
- Wood floors. Hardwood and engineered wood, acclimated and fastened the way the manufacturer requires. Arkansas humidity makes that step matter.
- Luxury vinyl plank. A good fit for kitchens, baths, and busy households. Installed with the expansion gaps and underlayment its maker calls for.
- Subfloor repair. Soft, rotted, or out-of-flat subfloor fixed and photographed before the new floor goes down.
- Transitions and trim. Thresholds, stair nosing, and baseboard finished clean.
Our process
- Look and measure. We check the subfloor for flatness, moisture, and soft spots.
- Material selection and written estimate. Product, underlayment, layout, and any subfloor work in writing.
- Written contract. Scope, materials, price, and schedule before we start.
- Prep. We take out the old floor, repair and flatten the subfloor, and photograph all of it.
- Install to spec. Setting materials, fasteners, acclimation, and expansion gaps done the way the manufacturer requires. Clean site every day.
- Walkthrough and job folder. Punch list finished, then photos and warranty handed over.

Flooring & tile FAQ
Can you put new flooring over my old floor?
Sometimes. Some products allow it over a flat, solid floor. Often it’s better to remove the old layer and check the subfloor. We’ll tell you which, and why.
Which flooring holds up in Arkansas humidity?
Tile and luxury vinyl plank handle moisture well. Wood floors can work beautifully, but they need proper acclimation and the right gaps to handle seasonal swelling. We’ll walk through the trade-offs for your rooms.
Why does tile crack?
Usually because the floor under it flexes or wasn’t flat, or the wrong mortar or underlayment was used. That’s why we check the subfloor first and follow the tile maker’s specs.
How long does a flooring job take?
It depends on square footage, subfloor repairs, and whether the material needs time to acclimate. Your schedule will be in the written contract.
