Fence installation and repair

When a fence starts to lean, it’s almost always the posts. Post depth, footings, and lumber rated for ground contact decide whether a fence line stays straight through Arkansas storms and wet springs. New fences are built by crews Adam has worked with for 5 to 10 years, and Adam handles repairs himself. Either way, he’s your single point of contact.

  • Privacy fences in pressure-treated wood, with posts set deep and set properly.
  • Gates hung to swing and latch without dragging.
  • Fence repair. Leaning sections, broken posts, and storm-damaged panels.
  • Utilities marked first. We call Arkansas 811 to have buried lines marked before any post hole is dug.

Our process

  1. On-site consultation. We walk the fence line with you and look at the slope, gates, and anything in the way.
  2. Written estimate. Height, style, post spacing and depth, gates, and hardware in writing.
  3. Written contract and permit. Scope, materials, price, and schedule before we start. Permits wherever your city requires them.
  4. Utilities marked and line laid out. Buried lines marked through Arkansas 811, and the fence line staked out with you before we dig.
  5. Posts set and photographed. Post depth and footings photographed before the rails go on.
  6. Build and walkthrough. Rails, pickets, and gates built with fasteners rated for treated lumber. Clean site every day, then a walkthrough, your photos, and your warranty.

  • 2-year written workmanship warranty. On every completed project.

Fence FAQ

How deep do fence posts go?

Deep enough for the fence height and soil, typically about a third of the post’s above-ground height, set in concrete or gravel depending on the design. We’ll spell it out in your estimate.

Do I need a permit for a fence?

Many Arkansas cities regulate fence height and placement, and some require a permit. We’ll check and pull it wherever it’s required.

Can you fix a leaning fence instead of replacing it?

Often. If the pickets and rails are sound, resetting or replacing the failed posts can straighten it. If most of the posts have rotted at the ground, replacement is usually the better money, and we’ll show you photos so you can see why.

Who figures out the property line?

You know your lot, and a survey settles any doubt. We’ll stake the line with you before we dig, and we won’t set posts until you’re sure.

What about termites?

Termites are a real concern in Arkansas. Posts and any wood that touches soil are pressure-treated lumber rated for ground contact.
