Decks built right from the footings up
We build new decks and repair old ones for homeowners across Greater Arkansas, built to code with lumber, fasteners, and connectors rated for the job. We photograph every step, and every job is backed by a 2-year written workmanship warranty.
Deck building and repair
A deck is only as good as what holds it up: the footings, the ledger, and the framing connections. You stop seeing those once the boards go down, so that’s where we take our time. New decks are built by crews Adam has worked with for 5 to 10 years, and Adam handles repairs himself. Either way, he’s your single point of contact.
- New decks in pressure-treated wood or composite, designed around how you’ll use the space.
- Footings, ledger, and framing built to code. The ledger is flashed and fastened the way the code and the hardware maker require. This is the part that keeps a deck attached to the house.
- Stairs and railings built to code for rise, run, and guard height.
- Deck repair. Rotted boards and joists replaced, loose railings secured, failing stairs rebuilt. If the framing checks out, new boards and railings can go on the existing frame.

- Written contract and permit. Scope, materials, price, and schedule before we start. Permits wherever your city or county requires them.
- Footings and framing. Footings, ledger flashing, and framing connections photographed before decking goes on.

Deck FAQ
Wood or composite: which should I choose?
Pressure-treated wood costs less up front and can be stained any color, but it needs regular sealing. Composite costs more, needs less upkeep, and won’t splinter. Both last when they’re framed right.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
Many Arkansas cities require one, especially for decks attached to the house or built above a certain height. We’ll check and pull it wherever it’s required.
Can you repair my deck instead of replacing it?
Often, if the framing and ledger are sound. If the joists or ledger are rotted, replacing them is a safety issue, and we’ll show you photos so you can see why.
What about termites?
Termites are a real concern in Arkansas. Pressure-treated lumber rated for ground contact goes wherever wood touches soil, and composite decking isn’t food for them.
How long does a new deck take?
It depends on size, height, stairs, and permit timing. Your schedule goes in the written contract before we start.
