Bathrooms that look good and stay dry
We remodel bathrooms for homeowners across Greater Arkansas. That means tile showers built on a waterproofing system installed the way the manufacturer specifies, custom vanities Adam designs for the room, and fans that actually move humid air out. We photograph every step, and every job is backed by a 2-year written workmanship warranty.
Bathroom remodeling
A bathroom needs to look good and stay dry for years. Most of what makes that happen is behind the tile, so that’s where we take our time. Adam designs your bathroom with you and stays your single point of contact, and the build is done by crews he’s worked with for 5 to 10 years.
- Tile showers. Built on a waterproofing system installed to the manufacturer’s method, with flood testing where the system calls for it, and photographed before a single tile goes up.
- Tub-to-shower conversions and walk-in showers. Built on the same waterproofing system and laid out for the way you’ll use them.
- Vanities and storage. Custom vanities and linen storage, designed to fit the room. See cabinets and custom storage
- Tile floors. Set over a flat, solid subfloor with the mortar and underlayment the tile maker specifies. See flooring and tile
- Fixtures and ventilation. Plumbing fixtures set by the right trade, and exhaust fans that actually move humid air out of the house.
- Hidden damage repair. Soft subfloor or rotted framing around old tubs and toilets is replaced and photographed before anything covers it.
Our process
- In-home consultation. We learn how you use the room, what bugs you about it, and what you want to spend.
- Design and material selection. Layout, shower, tile, vanity, fixtures, and lighting chosen together.
- Written estimate and contract. Scope, materials, price, and schedule in writing before demo day. Permits wherever they’re required.
- Demo and rough-in. Plumbing and electrical done to code by the right trades. Framing, subfloor, and waterproofing photographed before they’re covered.
- Build-out. Tile, vanity, fixtures, and trim installed to spec, with the site cleaned every day you’re living around it.
- Walkthrough and job folder. Punch list finished before final payment. Photos, signed walkthrough, and warranties handed over in one folder.
The Black Oak Standard in your bathroom
- Manufacturer instructions followed. Shower waterproofing, tile setting materials, and fixtures installed to spec.
- Built to local building code. Plumbing and electrical by the right trades, with inspections wherever they’re required.
- Photographed start to finish. The waterproofing you’ll never see again is in your photo record.
- Clean site, every day. You’re still living in the house, so we clean up before we leave each day.
- 2-year written workmanship warranty. On every completed project.
Bathroom FAQ
What does a bathroom remodel cost in Greater Arkansas?
It depends on the size of the room (a hall bath or a primary bath), the tile, vanity, and fixtures you choose, and whether the drain or plumbing has to move. Older homes can hide subfloor or water damage that adds cost. If we find it, we photograph it and talk to you before doing any extra work. Request your free written estimate.
How long will my bathroom be out of service?
That depends on scope and lead times for tile, vanities, and fixtures. Your schedule goes in the written contract, and we’ll keep you posted as we go. If it’s your only full bath, tell us up front so we can plan around it.
Can you turn my tub into a walk-in shower?
Often, yes. We’ll check the floor framing, drain location, and plumbing first, then lay out the options in your written estimate.
Why does shower waterproofing matter so much?
Tile and grout aren’t waterproof on their own. The membrane or board system behind them keeps water out of your walls and subfloor. We install it to the manufacturer’s method and photograph it before the tile goes on.
Do you coordinate plumbing and electrical?
Yes. We schedule the right trades, hold them to the Black Oak Standard, and get inspections wherever they’re required.
